Scottish golf legend Colin Montgomery mentioned the retirement of Tiger Woods (USA).

Montgomery appeared on a podcast run by Scottish media Bunkerd on the 13th (Korean time) and said, “Woods should have retired after the Open in St Andrews. I don’t know why he wants to continue.”

Woods was involved in a car accident near California in February of last year. The car he was in overturned, and Woods nearly lost his leg in the accident. However, he overcame rehabilitation and competed in the PNC Championship last year, and this time he competed in the Masters, PGA Championship and Open.

However, his grades are not good. At the Masters, he barely made the cut and finished 47th, but withdrew from the PGA Championship and missed the cut at the Open. Until recently, he was known to be in too much physical condition to walk all 18 holes.

The reason Montgomery pointed out that Woods should retire is also because of his physical condition. “I can’t expect Woods to win the 메이저놀이터 PGA Tour again. He’s a great player, but he doesn’t have to go back to the level he used to play. The tour level is improving and there are not one or two players who can beat him. “I’m trying to play, but I don’t think it’s possible.”

“The Open was the right time to retire. Woods waved at the St Andrews Old Course bridge, galleries were full, TV cameras around the world were on him. Woods was walking alone, with tears in his eyes. Special It was a stadium. It was a time when Woods could have said, ‘Okay, I’ll stop.'”

The St Andrews Old Course is the oldest golf course called ‘The Holy Land of Golf’. It’s one of Woods’ favorite places, and he’s won two majors here.

Woods was up for more matches last week, and this week he’ll be playing his son Charlie at the PNC Championship. Because it is an event competition, it is possible to use a cart, so it is suitable for Woods, who has difficulty walking.

Montgomery looked pessimistically, saying, “I hope Woods wins again, but that won’t happen.”

Montgomery is a Scottish national golf legend with 31 victories on the European Tour. From 1993 to 1999, he won the European Tour prize money consecutively, and in 2013 he was inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame.
